my.arja.beryll & var.arja.beryll | Modules for custom software extensions

We offer to customize your version of arja.beryll® in order to fulfill your specific business needs. However, you also may adapt or extend arja.beryll® on your own using the FileMaker Pro database software.

To implement your own extensions, all you need is:

1) One or both of the optional modules 'my.arja.beryll' or 'var.arja.beryll'
2) A license of 'FileMaker Pro' or 'FileMaker Pro Advanced' (filemaker.com)
3) Basic knowledge of database programming using FileMaker
    (FM Learning Center English)

After completing your adaptions you may specify the default module for each component of arja.beryll®: the standard module (arja.beryll) or your customized version (my.arja.beryll or var.arja.beryll). These settings are applied generally or even for each user individually and differently:




Apart from the settings and on each component a different type of module may be called directly:





var.arja.beryll | Module to adapt existing arja.beryll® components

The module 'var.arja.beryll' is primarily suited to adapt existing arja.beryll® screen forms and print layouts according to your needs. For instance you change data fields or their arrangement, add new fields, change the formatting or create new screens or printouts on the base of an existing template.

The module 'var.arja.beryll' consists of:

  • Over 50 customizable screen forms and print layouts, based on the arja.beryll® standard templates
  • 50 script templates (functions) to implement you business logic with access to your arja.beryll® data
  • 80 new and freely definable data fields for each of the arja.beryll® component, i.e. for each of the following table (schema/entity):
    • Artwork / Object / Collection
    • Exhibition
    • Publication
    • Contact / Address
    • Offer
    • Invoice
    • Clearing Invoice
    • Loan Invoice
    • Loan Agreement
    • Consignment
    • Correspondence
    • Serial Letter/eMail

For you carry out your adaptions directly within arja.beryll®, they may not be transfered into a new version of arja.beryll® automatically. But they are transferable using copy/paste manually in reasonably short time.
However, we recommend using the module 'my.arja.beryll' alternatively or in addition for larger adaptions and extensions. The module 'my.arja.beryll' can be adopted in a new version of arja.beryll® without additional work.


my.arja.beryll | Module for extensions (new components)

The module 'my.arja.beryll' is primarily suited for larger adaptions, to extend the data coverage or to create new components. The module serves as an interface to arja.beryll® and therefore permits access to arja.beryll® data and functions.

The module 'my.arja.beryll' consists of:

  • A mapping of the base data structure of arja.beryll® in a physical separate FileMaker file
  • Access to arja.beryll® components and data from my.arja.beryll
  • Full programming access to my.arja.beryll
  • Unlimited extensible own components (tables/schemata/entities) with linkage to the corresponding arja.beryll® data for each of the following components:
    • Artwork / Object / Collection
    • Exhibition
    • Publication
    • Contact / Address
    • Offer
    • Invoice
    • Clearing Invoice
    • Loan Invoice
    • Loan Agreement
    • Consignment
    • Correspondence
    • Serial Letter/eMail

The module my.arja.beryll is linked directly with arja.beryll®, however physically separated from. Thereby you may transfer your extensions into a new version of arja.beryll® without additional work.
